We are excited to offer preordered to-go picnic meals featuring a customized Pakistani menu. Meals will be available for pick up from our Williamsburg location on Saturday, August 22, between 3pm and 6pm.
Samosa Chaat
Chaat is a savoury Indian snack served as an appetizer at roadside stalls in India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. It is a mixture of potato, chickpeas, yogurt, tangy-salty spices, sour Indian chili, and tamarind, and garnished with fresh green coriander leaves and sliced onion. It will be served with a deconstructed, crispy samosa on top.
Karahi Gosht with Naan
Karahi Gosht is said to be a dish of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan—in particular, Landi Kotal, a rustic and traditionally Pukhtun town, sitting close to Afghanistan atop the Khyber Pass. Tender mutton in tomato masala, with yogurt and freshly ground spices, served with naan. (Vegetarian or vegan option available upon request.)
Ras Malai
Ras Malai is a dessert originating from the eastern regions of the Indian subcontinent, possibly Bengal or Odisha. Its name is the Hindi cognate of Bengali: rosh, meaning "juice", and molai, meaning "cream". Dumplings made from powdered milk soaked in sweetened, thickened milk, flavored with cardamom, and garnished with almond flakes. (Prepared with lactose-free milk.)
Iced Kashmiri Chai
Gunpowder tea with milk, star anise, and cardamom
Fennel Digestif
Pinch of fennel, roasted coconut, rock candy
